Isnt it saying that we have to love ourselves before we can truley love anyone else?

Good article Gal. We've all heard it a 100 times before but I dont think any of us gets it until it actually happens. Ive done alot of comparing my H to XAP and during this Im learning the differences in the type/kind of love relationship I do have with H. Ill take a mature love over teenage love anyday now.

Thanks so much for posting that. Very insightful and I needed to be reminded what a healthy love is......

Its the one that Ive had under my nose this whole time. My H has never wavered, threatened to leave or make me feel fragile. XAP did those things on a daily basis.

Dont know why I stayed so long on that roller coaster.

thats exactly what it reminded me too of :) We really have to get it into our heads that what have or had with XAPs is not real love. If it was real love we wouldn't need to disrespect ourselves and each other so much. As the article says its just a huge desire and need to get love and adoration from a person to make us feel good. But in reality we

meant to add...if you scroll down to the bottom of that article the author has written some articles on Emotional dependency and emotional freedom which are worth a read. They gave me some understanding into my own emotional problems.

Wow Gal,

That is one of the best articles explaining healthy love vs unhealthy love I've read in a long time. It is very easy to read and digest.

Do you mind starting a thread in the Healing Library for this article link? I really think this could help a lot of enders that struggle with why they feel so addicted to xAP.

Big hugs,

I agree that this article belongs in the HL. I am going to copy and paste it there now before we all forget about it. It really hit me too, and I saw a lot of myself in it.
