I think your husband's reaction to posting on a message board is more common than you think. My DH also thinks it's a stupid waste of time to converse with complete strangers about sex. Hey, to each his own.

I wouldn't try to force his interest though. He'll only be more resistant.

Dh doesn't participate here as in posting, but he does look through the posts with me at times

Absolutely agree. This is no different than sharing your personal opinions and experiences with RL friends and acquaintances. Like people used to over the backyard fence. But no one here is qualified to offer counsel on serious marital issues.

Venting? Yes, it's a good place for that!

Tish,

I have had two particularly bad counseling experiences. One that laughed at something very troubling to me, and one that talked quite a bit about her own life. Where do you find the "good" ones? (These were not marriage counselors.)

I'm really sorry you had bad experiences with therapists so far.

Why do you want him involved? is it because you 2 are having problems?

Maybe he doesn't want to talk on the message board because this is a WOMAN's site.

There are sites for men, they have male articles, male message boards, and address male problems. I would tell him to go to askmen.com or just have it up on your computer. If you 2 are looking for ways to enchance your sex life or if he or you are having sexual problems, they have answers and articles over there and like i said they also have a message board where majority of the posters are men, there are a few women.

Or buy some sex books or videos, there's a whole section at the bookstore or you can buy them online.

Tish,

Can you explain PTSD? I was also raped at 18 (stranger) and sexually molested by a family member as a child (no penetration). I guess I've always been really strong and tried to get through everything alone. I'm finding this a little hard right now. These things all happened many years ago but seem to be surfacing more lately. I am 46 yrs old and have been married for 16 yrs.
