Tucking the string

I was wondering if other women, when wearing a tampon, tuck the string back inside or let it hang out? A few years back I began tucking it inside, and almost never have a problem finding it.

No, I don't. I HAVE had problems finding it in the past, so I like to keep track of it on the outside.

You say you "almost never" have a problem finding it. Which means sometimes you have a problem finding it. What's the "problem" with letting it hang out? What does it hurt?

The problem finding it is rare. It later was not exactly where I put it, but not a problem. It's usually coiled up at the opening. It just seems cleaner that it is not hanging and dripping after using the bathroom.

I just move the string to the back before urination...no dripping at all.

I've had short strings on tampons before that have easily gotten hidden in the folds and crevices of my vagina which made it very difficult to find.

I've read the thread (pun intended). Where would one move the string back to, to get it out of the way? What would hold it? I imagine that initial not finding the string could be disconcerting to a person.

Geeze, this is getting really explicit, isn't it? LOL! I just make sure that the thread is out of the way of the urine flow. Which means it's moved back toward the rectum. Remember, the vagina is between the urethra and rectum. And nothing holds it, it stays where I put it.

Ouch is an understatement! I also move the string out of the way to whiz and then just leave it out. The thought of "trying to find" the string is pretty gross to me. This must be a pretty hard one for the guys to really relate to.. lol.

While you're down there looking and peaking around out of curiosity, can I offer you up some dental floss?
