I think Tony Randall fathered a child in his 70's ...... I think that requires ejaculation most of the time.

Actually, no, it only requires ONE sperm, not full ejaculation. Leaking pre-ejaculate will do the trick. And sperm can be extracted directly from the testicles, if necessary, for in vitro fertilization.
So, even if a man only dribbles, as some men do when the prostate enlarges and begins choking off the urethra, he can still impregnate.

I agree with the others......age has nothing to do with it. General health, and particularly prostate health will have an effect on it. I remember your age, and my recent SO was 15 years older than you, he had no problems.
It would be a good idea to get your prostate checked.....it's fairly common to have enlargement at your age, and that could be simple enlargement, or more serious. There is now a medication that can be taken for simple enlargement, rather than surgery. I have a friend who moved to Florida a few years ago, and she told me that every man on her street has had Cancer and "seeding" of the prostate in the last year or so (including her husband)......they're all retirement age.
Everyone stresses that women over 50 should have annual mammograms, but no one makes a big deal about getting prostate checks. If I was a man, I'd have one annually.
