I never trim or shave my pubic hair and I was wondering is it possible to have too much pubic hair? My dh has never said anything about my pubic hair before but the other day after sex he said that I seemed to be getting hairier down there. Do you think I should trim a little bit?

It depends on what you want/like whether or not you think there's too much.

Babyemerald, you should trim it down there only if that is what you want to do. I am sure that your husband's comment was just "off the cuff" and he meant nothing by this observation. However, you might ask him whether he would rather have you trim down there.

Why not just shave it all off, if you dont like it, it will grow back and after that you can keep it trimmed a little easier..Just imagine the look ony our DH's face when you show it to him, you might also find it can further encourage other activites and provide a whole new feel for it. Explore, have fun, I mean you have nothing to lose.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure I can be brave enough to shave the whole thing. I think I migh trim up a little and see what my dh thinks of it. My labia and clit tend to stick out a lot so shaving everything probably wouldn't look too good.

Welcome to the board babyemerald3.

I started trimming myself in the past few years, and I love it. Drives me nuts when it gets too long now. For me, it's just nicer to not worry about odors being trapped, and it makes cleanup easier.

Don't worry about how it looks!! wait till you feel it.

Does shaving your pubic hair dry you out during sex? I heard it may cause one to dry out and make you have to resort using lube.

Hair has nothing to do with the lubrication your body creates during foreplay and sex. The parts of your genitals that have hair on them don't even create any type of lubrication.

Depending on what types of products are used in the shaving process, the skin on the outside may get dry and/or flaky just as it would on any other part of the body.

You have options, and they are your options, so it should be your decision. If I were to suggest anything it would be to go get waxed once. That way you are really smooth for a long time. Not like shaving where you have stubble and have to shave ever day. Then you have the best experience.
