hi girls/boys
mu present bf never had kids as his ex wife couldn't have any.....
well what do you think about having a baby at 43?!
I've got 2 of my own already , but recently we had a glass of wine...too many..... and started to talk about it....
somehow I would love to have his baby, but I'm trying to be realistic - this is not the right way to go or is it?
please let me know what you think
best wishes
belladonna
p.s. I hope this was just the drink talk....

That's something only you know if it's right or wrong for you.
I don't think there's a right or wrong answer here. I know it is harder on women, physically, to deliver children in their 40s. That's something you might want to discuss with your doctor before getting too set in your plan.
Also, how does your BF feel about it? Did he know going into his previous marriage that he wouldn't be having children? Was he okay with that? If so, what has changed his attitude now?
I certainly wouldn't make the decision based on a night of drinking, but I do think it's something the two of you should continue talking about if you both feel that is what you would like.
When DH and I got married, he was 38 with 2 kids (18 and 11). We had 2 more kids. He's 55 (I'm 45) now with a 15 and 12 yo. It's working out well ;-)

There's a lot more to having a baby than talking about it over a glass of wine.
