Just a quick note of thanks to all of my wonderful friends here on LTAS who have put up with me over the last few weeks (or maybe it has been months) of my transition to Mom of College Kid.

{{{{{HUGS}}}}} You're a strong woman! Just think, now that he's off to college, you may actually see him more when he comes home on the weekends, etc....

(((((Liv))))), I'm so happy to see this here. I suspect you got most of it out before he left ... and now think back to when you went away to college. I'm sure he's having a more difficult time with the transition tonight than you are. You've prepared him well, so I'm sure he will be okay though.

A word of advice, since he's close enough to visit .... have lots and lots of laundry soap at home!

(Wouldn't it be great if we could find a ticker that would work to count our tallies!

BL,

LOL yeah and the transition is definatly bigger for him. He is a very balanced kid, social but not a wild type so he will do great.

Misty,

I wish there was a ticker for our antics but all I have found is a daily ticker or one that counts pounds of wieght lost. I will look around.

Liv, congratulations, and I'm sure that getting all the emotions out before he went off to college will help with the transition for all of you.

I have been following along on your countdown. I have been through this twice already and will be where you are come August 2012 for the final time.

Mrspe,

Great thanks, now I am feeling weepy. LOL A bit but I seem to move on faster now.

That is the fact of how children change you. Many step along the way and things are never the same. I am focusing on how they are better and holding dear where we have been!

I do have my dd who still has 3 years before she heads out, I am going to enjoy every minute of it, just as I have
