Could it be that you get to have an occasional tryst with someone of the same sex?

Josey, iVillage editor and author of Sex on My Desk, asks if anyone has ever heard of this word?

You can reply directly on her blog, but, of course, we want to know your answer to!

I had never heard this word before. I have no desire to have a sexual get-together with a female.

I translate "heteroflexible" to "I'm a little bit bi, but can't quite get over the stigma attached to that, so I'm clinging to a label I think will be more acceptable."

That was my original thought too, but once I thought about it a little more, it made sense in some circumstances.

Neither my DH nor I are bi-sexual, but what if we decided one day to have a threesome? Depending on the arrangement (MFM or FMF) it would be primarily for the benefit of one or the other of us, yet I don't see that it would create a situation where either of us would ever want to have a one-on-one tryst with a member of the same sex.

Being bi doesn't mean you have to run out and act on it. It just means the attraction is there.

I understand that totally, but in the case that I'm talking about, there wouldn't be any basic attraction ... more of a tolerance or an act for the benefit of the other partner.

An example, I have absolutely no attraction to women in a sexual way, but I do think it would be hot to put a show on for DH. My excitement would come from his enthusiasm for the event, which is the only thing that could lead me to even consider touching another woman.

For some reason, now I'm hearing "I Kissed a Girl", lol. ;)
