There is something about men I've been wondering about for quite awhile...I've been working a temp job at a printing warehouse for the past 6 weeks now.

Unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature constitute a form of sexual harassment, are against the law, and you don't have to put up with them. You should ask about your employer's policies for reporting and dealing with sexual harassment.

They're just being immature jerks, would be my guess. That is sexual harrassment. Report it to your supervisor there and also to the temp agency.

you have a right not to be talked to in that way. You need to report it. and if you dont feel comfortable doing it with your supervisor do it with the temp agency. And if that does not work call the state and report it there. You dont have to put up with that. I know I wouldn't I work with all men in my office. And the ones that come in sometimes are like that. I dont put up with them. And my boss knows it. He stands up and says things too. So good luck and let us know how it turns out.

That's a hostile environment, start making notes include dates, times and names.

Can you call your temp agency and request a new assignment?

Welcome to the board, Clueless.

I agree with all of the advice you've already been given .... either look into the company policy or the temp agency policy. What's happening is definitely considered sexual harassment.

Thank you all for your advice - it's very practical.

Perhaps these men should have taken the fact that they have children at home into consideration before choosing to act inappropriately towards you. The fact that they did not, IMO, imposes no obligation on you to cover for them. I'm a big believer that we all need to own the consequences of the choices we make.

well put steve. I have to agree. I would at least call them on it and speak with a supervisor. even though you dont want to get anyone in trouble. you can bring it up to the supervisor and say that their are a number of men who are doing this and that. No names just make it clear you dont like it, then maybe the supervisor will have a general meeting and suggest that no one speak to anyone like that. No one gets hurt but you have made your point. Then if it persists then file charges.

It is sexual harassment. But since this is a temp position I'd look for another job.
