Anal Sex!!! ?

My boyfriend and I have been together for a long time and last night he wanted to have anal sex...he has asked me over and over so many times before but I never wanted to and was always scared to. Well, last night was his birthday and we went out, had some drinks..then when we got home it was getting really really heated in the moment...then he asked to have anal sex. I don't know what I was thinking (I'm sure those dang Margarita's didn't help)...but it happened...no condom was used, just lubrication. And the most scary part is..is that he ejaculated inside =O So this morning, I began thinking about it, and started to worry...so I went online to read up on anal sex...I read that anal sex should never be done without a condom b/c of bacteria...I didn't find anything about what could happen if ejaculation is done while inside the anus. I told him my concerns but he's not too worried..but I am freaking! =O worried that either of us could get sick or diseases...Is there anyone who can help me? with any advise? Please!!! I am really really worried!

Assuming you are both monogamous, there is nothing that he can give you anally that he couldn't give you vaginally. Condoms are advised because there are some bacteria in the colon that are necessary for digestion and well suited to that environment. However, those bacteria are not well suited for your reproductive system (or other parts of your body). For example, bacteria found in your colon (E.coli) can make you very sick if ingested orally (kidney failure and other undesirable diseases). And, the bacteria in the colon can really mess up your fallopian tubes and/or ovaries.

Assuming that he is disease free, the fact that he ejaculated inside you is of no consequence. The sperm just die in that environment.

What you absolutely don't want to do is go from anal sex to vaginal or oral sex without cleaning his penis thoroughly (i.e. soap and water). The bacteria can given you serious infections. A condom makes cleanup much easier.

A very good source of information is a website called talksexwithsue (just add the appropriate www and com). Sue Johanson is a nurse that specializes in sexual education. She is the Dr. Ruth of Canada. Her website gives non-judgmental sexual information based on medical research.

I hope this helps you put aside some of your fears. If you enjoyed the experience, just make sure that your bf wears a condom. Not because of concerns about his ejaculate, but more because of bacterial issues.

Welcome to the board, lovingheart.

The ejaculate will not cause a problem.

The purpose of wearing a condom is to make clean up easy and so that no bacteria can cause a problem. As the other member said, there can be serious problems if the bacteria is transferred to other parts of your body -- but it can also cause infection for your BF (although rare).

Wearing a condom protects him from any possible infection, and can be removed after anal sex so that he's clean beneath it.

As the other posters said, as long as there's no STDs it's not unsafe for him to ejaculate there.

I thank you all for the responses! I am feeling better now, Phew! :) Either of us are infected with a disease,.I just thought that anal sex would cause one, and I began to worry. I am not sure if I let it happen again, but next time I will make sure he wears a condom, and to have antibacterial bathroom wipes (good suggestion) :) Thank you again so so very much!!!
