I saw the Chippendale's when I was much younger. They did some group dancing, and worked the room a bit. They didn't strip all the way down. Mostly, they tried to charm the women while searching for tips.
When they worked the room, they looked for the opportunity to use props within the establishment, like a chair or barstool. One of them actually hopped up on the bar and used a brass rail like a dance pole.
At the end of the evening, women were invited to dance with the strippers for a dollar a dance. IIRC, they could also have their picture taken while dancing.
I've gone to see male strippers a few times in Massachusetts at the Golden Banana. The first time it was good, because it was something different. Yes, they stripped all the way, and no touching was allowed. The couple times after that we ended up sitting at the bar and talking with the female bartender, and just watching the other womens reactions. There was a busload of grandma aged women that came in. They were worse than the younger ones.
you cant go anywhere with them (as a man) without them doing something like that to either get attention from the guy or the guys who are at the same place - the stripper mentality and behavior takes over.
That's an interesting point...stripper mentality.
Some years ago DH and I were vacationing in Cancun. DH met up with a guy in the resort's athletic club who had a part time job as a male "dancer". He specialized in popping out from a birthday cake. A group of guests from the resort went out to a club one night and I found myself dancing with Mr Cake Popper. He repeatedly maneuvered himself behind me and kept insisting on grinding his precious little self against me. It was rather annoying to be truthful....much like one of those humping little dogs one is sometimes accosted by.
