ED medications...

I would really like some input on this.
I think my h is going to be put on some ED medication to 'help' him out since his other meds side effects seem to be kicking in.
Have you or your spouse/partner ever used any of the wonder drugs that are out there and if you have, how 'good' did they work?
Has anyone tried 'Enzyte'? (You know the one. Happy Bob) He keeps joking about taking that too!
I'm not against him taking them, especially if he can get to the point his libido is really revved up for a while even after just one low dose! ;)
Thanks for your input! (I probably won't be able to reply to anything until tomorrow because at work I would get canned in a heartbeat for bringing up this site! :)

DH has used Viagra, and it works great as intended. Instead of using a whole pill, he was able to use 1/2 pill, which definitely helped with the cost.
Now, it didn't do anything to change his libido. It's the type of drug that if you take it and don't end up having sex, your body doesn't have any particular reaction to it. However, if you take it and end up having sex, your body reacts very well, LOL. It also lasts for a fair decent amount of time, and even if he ejaculated, he was usually able to get and/or maintain an erection soon after.
He no longer takes beta blockers, and his other causes have gone away too, but if we were planning a weekend away, I'd have him take some Viagra along just in case!

I wouldn't bother with Enzyte. Have him see his doctor. Ask for samples of viagra, levitra, and cialis. When prescribing, have the doctor prescribe the highest dose. Then split them.
They do work for most people.
You will get better drug absorption if you take on an empty stomach.
I consider myself (and my SO) very lucky......since he doesn't need any help, despite being on a few meds that sometimes cause problems.
He laughs with his buddies about 'if I ever had an erection that lasted more than 4 hours...' guy talk...etc...
I have to agree with you about Bob. It is so annoying! I really don't like my girls seeing those commercials.
I'm not going to ask about changing his meds right now. He didn't make it to the doctor the last time he was supposed to so I want to wait until this appointment and see how things go but I will definitely keep the possibilty of a med change in his future.
I do like the 'new' Cialis. Maybe he'd be willing to 'give it up' a little more often if he had something going on (if you know what I mean).
Thanks for the advice!
I know with some drugs that they are to be taken on an empty stomach but I never would've thought it would make a difference with an ED drug.
I like the idea of asking for the samples. That way we won't have to pay a bunch for them and we can try them all out and see what works best for him. I have a feeling that the insurance probably doesn't cover something like this. Then again, since it IS a result of medications that he is currently taking...I know I'm dreaming big time now!
Thanks for the advice! I think there's only a couple of meds that he's on that has side effects and I hope that someday they will be able to decrease the doses or maybe even take him off them completely if he loses a lot more weight. (He sure is looking good!)
I think his appointment isn't until the end of the month but I will definitely be asking for lots of samples. Maybe I'll have to call and talk to his docs nurse and tell him of the situation and see if she'll let me come in and pick some up before he is seen. I highly doubt they will but if they were to...there would definitely be some getting rid of the kids! :)
