New here, 2nd try with WW

Hi everybody! I just joined WW on the 26th of Dec. I joined for a short time 5 years ago after my first child (I had 4 kids in 5 years, no twins!) and stopped going, then pretty much didn't do anything through all my pregnancies. Now, my baby is 16 mos and it's time to do something for ME! I have about 60 lbs. to lose. 50 of that gained throughout pregnancies. I really want this to work and I'm going to stick with it until I'm at my goal weight. My dh is very supportive and is doing anything in his power to help me succeed. I'm excited to be on this journey, but know also that it is going to be very difficult to stop years of bad habits. I come from a family of emotional eaters so I am determined to break that cycle for my children. Anyway, hoping to find some friends and support here!

Hey Robyn...welcome to the board and back to WW!
Before and Still Going Pic LOL
Welcome Robyn!
What a great time for you to start, making that change before the new year is a sign that you're really ready to work it!
Amy,
Thanks for the welcome. Yes, I've been wanting to start for awhile, but was waiting for a "no joining fee" time to come and figured by the new year that would be the case. I HATE NY's resolutions and don't make them. So, yes I am determined to lose the weight I need to hopefully by the end of the year, but I know better than to set a time goal. For me it's all about feeling better and being able to have more stamina to keep up with my 4 active kids and my fit hubby!
Cyrise,
Thanks for the welcome! Yes, our kids are quite young. Jayden is 6, Kylie (our only girl!) is 4.5, Rylan (in my current sig) is 3 in a few days and Bryson is 16 mos. It's a crazy household and never dull or quiet! Looks like you have one girl too? You have similar spacing though. Does it get any less nuts?
My dh is great and would do anything to help me succeed at anything I do. I would have a very hard time doing life without him! My sister and mom are also going to follow the program, but not attend meetings. We're going to do weekly weigh ins with each other. I HAVE to do the meetings though. I find they really help me and when I want to stray the thought of that scale is sometimes enough to pull me back! Not the same for me if I'm just doing it alone.
I'm in the process of trying to find some recipes and get my footing back in thinking points again... it's been 5 years since I thought that way! Neat thing is my dh is doing a study with a local hospital that lasts 22 weeks so he can't eat *anything* at home so I have total control over the food in the house! Should really give me a boost being able to fix exactly what I need/want to.
Well, this is long enough! I hope to post a bit. Baby is just getting to the point where I can spend some time on the computer!
hey robyn...sounds like you have a really great plan...i am trying to make things that 6 people will like...so far so good...the recipe section has some great recipes and one of them has a site for jaimes recipes...we have liked all of them we have tried so far and the meatloaf muffins are really great...
yes only one girl out of the 4 for me too...mine is the baby...and yes the spacing is 3 1/2 years form my oldest son to the youngest son...they were 3 1/2, 20 months and a newborn...now that was psycho!...it does get less nuts but in a new way...give me a 2 year old...i know how to do 2 year olds...but this teenage thing...all new to me...
have a great evening!

LOL! Yes, my thoughts exactly with the teen age thing! I can't believe we'll have 4 teenagers in the same house someday! My dh and I joke that I head them up now when they are young and I'm turning them over to him when they are teens! He enjoys that age and I am clueless! I have to take lessons on being a "cool" mom before then!
Thanks for the recipe ideas! I will certainly check that out! Family friendly recipes are a must! (although the kids have no choice, they eat whatever is served to them, well okay, they don't always EAT it actually, but you get the idea!)
We're gearing up for having our best friends' children for the weekend. 2 of them, the oldest is 5, youngest is 4. We'll have 6 kids 6 and under in the house! They are good kids though, we treat them like our own, they are practically cousins. Bummer part is their oldest came down with the stomach flu today... hoping no one else gets it!!
Have a good night! I'm off to Sig Showcase to make some sigs before bed!
