Hello everyone! I'm new to the board, and am just looking for SUPPORT and MOTIVATION!! I'm starting back up on WW after a 5ish year hiatus. I lost about 15 lbs the first time around, and have done so great at maintaining my weight now... or plateauing, depending how you lok at it. My boyfriend is also using WW loosely - he's lost 150lbs in the last 3 years, and wants to lose about 20 more, so we're tryyyying to be a support team, but we cheat way too often!
So, with summer approaching, all I want to do is lose 5-10lbs. Seems easy enough, right? WRONG!! I have no willpower! "I want one cookie.. just one cookie.. well, if 1 cookie, why not 10 cookies?" It's awful! Especially being a college student with graduation one month away, the stress factor is high, as well as "convenient eating" like vending machines. Also, it's an age-old excuse but it's true, I just dont have the time to exercise. When I get 2 hours of free time, I would muuuuuch rather sit there and breathe with a movie than hop on the elliptical. And if I get the real chance to hit the gym, I think "What good will one time do?" and go get a pedicure instead. My day-to-day activity level is decent though - I'm a nanny, so I chase around a toddler 20hrs a week, and run around school/errands in between.
I need all the helpful motivating tips you've got! It doesn't help that my boyfriend is the greatest guy, one of those "I'll love you no matter what you look like, sweetie" types, hahaha. Thanks so much everyone!

Welcome Stephanie!
Welcome! I want to add my congrats on the great success. And 5-10 pounds isn't nothing. Sometimes it's the hardest to lose. I know I've been battling with my last 15 for what seems like forever. Here are *my* suggestions. Hopefully they will be slightly helpful.
- Plan. Plan. Plan. If you know you're going to be out all day, pack a safe snack. Vending machines are the devil. Even if it's only a loose plan that you set out the night before, at least it will be a guideline and will help you get through the day.
- If cookies are your downfall, don't buy them. You can't eat what you don't have. There are also alternatives, like 100 calorie packs of oreos or chips ahoy that might help stiffle the habit. They are also portion controlled -- you can't fool yourself into thinking you've had one serving when there are 5 empty packages sitting on the floor!
- Even working out a few minutes a day counts. Even once a week counts. It all makes a difference and puts you one step closer to a healthier you! Right now you don't have a ton of time, but eventually you will. Once you get into life after school, maybe you can work two workouts a week into your schedule, then more. In my opinion, the more you do it, the more you see your body firm up, the more you like going. Overall, it's not really how much weight you lose, it's how toned and healthy your body is. The weight thing will come in its own time.
Hope that helps! And welcome again to the board!
