What's everyone reading this week?
I'm still reading THe Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson.
I'm reading A Good Yarn by Debbie Macomber. Unless one of my holds from the library comes in that I can't resist, up next will be either Songs for the Missing by Stewart O'Nan or Life Without Summer by Lynne Griffin.
I should be finishing up Spandau Papers by Greg Iles in the next couple of days...Thank goodness. His writing style is good and the book is moving along nicely. It's just the topic is apparently just not in my field of interest. It involves a secret conspiracy that happened during WWII. It involved the Germans, the British, and the Russians. During present time the Americans and the Israelis are thrown in as well to solve the mystery. I'll finish it, but this one isn't my kind of book. For anyone with any interest in WWII, it's really good and not too far-fetched.
Reading 'Ten Bigs Ones', by Janet Evanovitch. The second that I've read by this author and enjoying it a lot. I'll certainly look out for more of hers.
Had a good haul at the library on Saturday - a hold on one by Stephanie Laurens, 3 new, small, paperbacks by Debbie Macomber (Blossom Street series), and another Louise Bagshawe, so I'm spoiled for choice.
Happy reading, Jenni
Just finished I Am Murdered: George Wythe, Thomas Jefferson, and the Killing That Shocked a Nation. Very interesting and its about several different topics, such as poison, autopsies, history, law, slavery, and politics. I'm ashamed to say I've lived in Virginia for a few years and don't know that much about its history. It's actually a fascinating state!
Up next: the last book that's out for the Sookie Stackhouse series, then a bunch of other books from the library that I really need to get through!
I'm reading " Under the Radar" by Fern Michaels. It's the next one in the sisterhood series of hers that I love so much.
Sandra- My branch had a copy of the next one in the series, Razor Sharp, listed as being in at the library. By the time that I got there to pick it up someone had just taken it out. How dare they! I heard somewhere that RS is going to be the last in the series, so it will be interesting to see if she leaves the ending open, so she can continue the series if she chooses to.
Well, fellow readers, here I am back after a looooooooooong hiatus.
