I am feeling so blessed right now. I have to share with you all because I am such a good mood. I am feeling good right now because as I was driving to my son school I thought that as a single mom I have it pretty good. I make a decent living where we don't want or need anything will live more then comfortable. I have a job that I can take off with no problem and not just when he is sick but for little things like a field trip as I did Friday. Since we live and he goes to school in the same area as my job then I can go surprise him at school with lunch. I see many of the SAHM being the ones who are always around the school but then I think of all the things I am involved and and capable of doing makes me feel great. I know my son feels it. I saw the excitement in his eyes when I walked in and then to see this time mom is carrying McDonalds (all kids favorite) plus he gets to pick two other students to go out and eat with us. Which to any kid makes him the coolest because you here the other children ask why didn't he pick them, and if he will pick them the next time. I'm am happy to be able to be a part of his life like this. Though I never would have thought I would end up a single mom it has worked for me. and I am truly thankful

Now, back to your regularly scheduled program. I was just feeling so good I had to share.

How wonderful that you have this blessed life!! I'm very happy for you. Just please, make sure that eventually, your son has invited everyone from his class for y'all's special outings and that no one was left out. Things like that leave such a lasting impression...Becky

Well, I will not be at his school that many times for lunch. But, all the students do get a chance to go out with another student at one time or another. I think this day it was more because most remembered me from the field trip and I had helped a lot of them with there projects. But, I am also planning on giving his class a pizza party. I talked to him about bringing pizza the next time I visit for him and his two friends and he is so sweet he offered me his school lunch since I don't like pizza, lol. But, I want to surprise him and do the who class. Reminds me I need to email this to his teacher.

You just gave me a terrific idea for my baby's (ok, he's 4, he's not a baby anymore) pre-school class. Thank you. I can hardly wait to see the looks on their little faces when I show up with pizza and soda. And lots and lots of napkins.......Becky
