Should I or Shouldn't I??

OK so I have never gone online to date anyone before nor do I plan to right now. However, a few months ago I was looking for a new car and posted on some message boards for advice, etc. Consequently, I kept getting messages from this one guy (who knew nothing about me other than what kind of car I was looking for). Well, long story short, we've been emailing for a couple months about lots of things (nothing too personal) and now he wants to meet. I have to say, this seems strange to me though he does seem like a nice guy. The thing is, I just don't get a positive attraction type of feeling to him. It's like just chatting with a distant friend. I am trying to not judge someone I don't know but I don't want to stifle my gut feeling, either.
Thanks for any advice...

PS. I have seen pictures of him and the same feeling... no real attraction.

Trust your gut feeling.

I just don't want to make the mistake of judging someone I don't know and missing out on something great. I'm thinking I would know by now though... I'm just not intrigued. But is being intrigued that important when you haven't even met?
I feel like the decision shouldn't be this hard. And if it doesn't feel right and I end communication, how do I just let it go without feeling guilty?

you can never really tell about chemistry through emails and pictures. so many people seem to make the opposite mistake: they get into a penpal relationship and decide they're in love before they've ever even met. then they meet and one or both realizes they're not actually attracted in person (and not just physically, but personality-wise too. it's just really different over email vs. in-person)

so, basically you should think of this as a blind date. are you in the mood for a blind date? if so, go ahead. if not, don't go ahead. simple as that.

Great point.

Thank you, Maria!
