It sounds like he also disrespects you too.

It doesn't sound like you are enjoying this A at all. Why stay in it? He sounds very controlling and yes, disrespectful of you. You deserve better than that, everyone does. He says he wants to sleep around? I think you would do yourself a huge favor by ending it now. V-day or no V-day.

Hi Blond!

Just fishing here but I think maybe you were using this A to get our of your M and not really into this person? Esp. if you say he would not make a good father figure or partner, plus he gets on your nerves. Get rid of him, lol, and yes before V-day...

You are not alone, though. I used an A to get out of my abusive M, and it was a lifesaver to have someone around to help me through the tough times during the D. I probably wouldn't have been able to go through D without him, my ex-H was violent and verbally abusive so I felt extremely vulnerable and I needed someone in my corner. (He became my BF and the R lasted for 2 years before I felt I needed to move on. We're still really good friends.)

hugs and sending 'smooth breakup' vibes,

Blondd..

You would be doing the right thing to end it with him. Cut him loose. Who cares about Valentines Day, anyway? It's not a "real" holiday. It's a commercial one. Just get it over with. You will feel better.

Well, I was all ready to break things off with him then he asked if I could do lunch on Friday.

Blond, you need to stop worrying about his feelings. He is not respecting you... you come first, girl. Yes you will probably feel crappy for a bit at first but like all things it will pass... and you will feel a huge load off your back.

good luck and hugs,

trixie xo
