Do You Wear Your Wedding Ring?

Just curious about how many of us still wear our wedding rings even though we are involved in an A. I do, but I always have and if I stopped H would ask questions. I do want to take it off though-it almost seems liberating in some way to take it off. What do you do?

I wore mine for the twenty five years we were married, my X took his off soon as I asked for the divorce.....I took mine off after 12 months of being separated. Never took it off when with my lover, he wears his and when together I could care less. If you are in an A, the ring is obviously meaningless.

Well I haven't worn my wedding ring since I caught DH out lying about having contact with his ow during his affair. I do wear my mothers wedding ring, sometimes on my left hand, sometimes on my right, it really depends what other rings I'm wearing on a particular day. If I'm with OM I always make sure it's on my right hand.

AP and I both wear ours. When we're out of town and seeing each other personally as opposed to professionally, people always assume we're married to each other.

I wore mine up until discovery.

An interesting topic! Both my AP and I wore our wedding rings during our meetings. Funny enough, we have discussed a lot of stuff (boundary stuff), the wedding ring is not one of them.

Other than special occasions, I seldom wear mine, but it has nothing to do with the A.

Wanted to add that I've never seen AP with a wedding band on.

When I first started seeing my OM, I was wearing my mother's wedding ring, which was slightly loose on me. Because of this, I could take it off and not have any giveaway indentation on my finger LOL. Because my OM is single, I would take it off in my car and leave it in the ashtray (no one smokes in my car anyway) because when we're out to lunch, if we run into any of his friends/family, I didn't want them to automatically know I was married. After a few years, my H bought me a beautiful new wedding ring in my proper size. When I take it off, it looks even weirder and more obvious than a ring because there's an indentation that screams "married person with wedding ring off!" Not to mention the summer tan lines. So I leave it on. My OM has never said it bothers him either way. :)

I wear a ring that my mom and husband bought me one year for Christmas, but I don't wear my actual wedding rings.

That is interesting. Most of the people I know do wear their rings. I think I might even say everyone who is female. The men are more apt to leave it off - usually citing work or fixing the car or numerous other things that legitimately make it wise to leave it off.
