My good mood has vanished.

I had been planning on making a weekend trip to see AP next month.

Oh mate I feel for you.

Its so hard when the time with you is literally a choice of taking time away from family.

At least he may move closer- thats got to be a good thing dont you think??

Thanks jane; really needed the smile you just gave me :).

We talked briefly a bit ago about it, and he said he doesn't want to move, and it would only be a last resort.

I can totally understand his wanting to make that choice. It must be horrible for all concerned that he works so far away, and I wonder why his W hasn't been pushing for this - hard - all along. I suppose she might be more comfortable in familiar surroundings and the move might be hard on her also - don't know.

But janejosie is right, he seems to be one that would work with you to be able to see you. He might even see you more often - think about it. He will no longer have to choose between spending time with his family or you - he will be spending lots of time with his family, so arranging time with you might be easier. You would probably both have to invent reasons to travel rather frequently, but that could be done.

My worry is for the far future. He doesn't sound like he will ever leave his M - he's actually considering moving to spend more time with his family. That sort of leaves you alone if/when you leave your M. Just something to consider.

Big (((hugs))) for maybe having to go through this. I don't blame you for not wanting to know until the last possible moment!

Obviously I don't know her so don't know her motivations, but his W hasn't seemed to want to do anything that could improve their M.

Yes, Lexi brings up a great point that if he moves with his family, he will have more time for you!

You guys think he can permanently move six hours away and that I actually might get to see him more?

If he moves, we'd both have to come up with excuses to be away for entire weekends on a more regular basis (although if I go through with the D, it won't be as hard for me), not to mention the funding to do it.
