What can my friend do?
| Tue, 12-09-2003 - 3:15pm |
My friend K has liked my friend B for at least a year and a half, and they have been friends for 2. He gets really upset, to the point that he hates the fact that she can't forget about things as easily as he can. He treats her like a queen when they are by themselves or around his family. He is constantly flirting with her(ex-tickling, smacking her butt, trying to annoy her, "fooling around", plays with her neck and blows in her ear). He treats her like a nobody in front of other people. He told her that he loved her, and that they weren't ever going to go out because he can't tell his friends that she is his girlfriend. She doesn't know if it's worth it anymore, or if he is just using her.....she thinks that he is afraid of committment....what can I tell her, I need some advice please! Thanks a lot!

He doesn't admire and respect her as a friend...or else he wouldn't be treating her this way. And he oesn't want her as a girlfriend - she's obviously not "something" enough to take to his friends and impress them with and he's so insecure that is his 'goal' in having a girlfriend.
This is ridiculous. She's not being found desirable and attractive...he's finding her "available and on call" for his purposes.

I totally agree with Erin and would add.
It's so unfair of him to send her mixed messages because she oh, so wants to be in a relationship with him.

This tells me how immature he is....and I think he's using his friends opinions as an excuse not to have a relatiionship.
