hey everyone, this is my first time on this message board but I'm hoping someone can give me a different perspective on a problem I have.
I met a guy on line who I had wonderful conversations with. We talked every night for about two weeks and really clicked. Then he decided to come visit me (mind you he lives in another state). We had the best time. I haven't clicked with anyone like he and I did. It was amazing. So a few weeks later he comes back to visit again and meets my friends. Everything was going so perfect. And suddenly he decides he wants to move even farther away because he feels that that particular state is where he can finally get his life in order. He knows I can't go with him because I still have about a year left in college. Before this decision, he was looking into moving to the city where I go to school so we could be closer. So, now that he has his plans, he wants to end our relationship because he feels that if we get any closer, he won't be able to leave. My anger and confusion comes in here. I don't want to hold him back, but, if this is such a great thing like he claims it is, why would he give that up? I don't understand this because usually he's so sensitive towards my feelings and now he just ended it with what seems like no regard for how i feel or even trying to see what would happen if we tried to stay together. We still talk but I'm never sure what to say because I don't want to cross any lines. Is there something that I'm not seeing? Hasn't he ever heard of a long distance relationship?

'that particular state is where he can finally get his life in order.'
is more important to him than a relationship that is only a few months (?) old.
You had a great time when you saw him but that was the honeymoon phase of the relationship
Does he have a great job in that state or is that where another internet gal lives? Seriously, you don't really know him that well.
It hurts but you should set your sights on finding someone local.
