Is this normal?

I just got back from a wonderful vacation with my husband and had a great time. We have never had a major fight in the 3 years we have been married. The next day he had to go out of town for work. When he called and said he missed me, I felt nothing. I did not say I missed him back and it was hard for me to say "i love you." This has come on all of a sudden and do not know if it is due to PMS or what but right now I feel nothing towards him. I want to love him but my mind is telling me otherwise. Is this normal?

Welcome to the board jdiva007,

Maybe you feel really comfortable with your life and your marriage and that is why you are not getting the strong overwhelming feelings of love. Just a guess. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Feelings come and go and have nothing to do with love. Some kind of difficiult mood came over you. It does not mean you do not love him. Perhaps something happened over the vacation that you do not remember or are not aware of that affected you. Needless to say if this feeling continues, you should certainly find a professional person to talk to about it. It is not normal to simply stop being able to feel love for a person and not know why. It's crucial to understand what's going on and to work it through.

Best wishes,
