Welcome to the board browneyese22008,

Probably you didn't do anything especially if he's talking to his ex.

He told you that he wasn't happy. Listen to him when he says that. Clearly, it's his way of saying that things aren't working. If he's unwilling to discuss what's bothering him, and just turns it around and blames you, then he isn't a person you can truly build a long lasting healthy relationship with anyway. In order to get past the hard times, both partners must be willing to deal honestly with what's going on, give up blaming the other, and want to make things work. Don't blame yourself for this. It's his immaturity and lack of openness that is causing the problem. It's important to stay clear about what's happening, not hope for him to magically change. It sounds to me as though it would be best for you to simply move on. It's his loss, believe me.

Best wishes,

You need to move on. If he's saying these things after only four months, he's just not that into you - and I mean that in the sense that he doesn't like you as much as he should at this stage.

Maybe you moved too fast, but the important thing is that you are feeling unwell over this man during a time that is supposed to be all glitter and rainbows. Please take that as a sign that this relationship is not meant to be. I agree with Dr Shoshanna, it's his loss.

I guess our relationship is based on a lie.
