If you really want a relationship with this guy the two of you just need to put your cards on the table and have an honest talk about how you feel about each other and see if the two of you are on the same page.
It sounds to me as though there are lots of mixed messages going on here as well as head games. Without open, honest, clear communication between the two of you, things will not be able to go forward in a healthy way. Why not ask him what he means? Is he playing with your head? It's very simple. Just find out what it is he is looking for in a relationship. Find out what "you" are also looking for and want in a relationship. See if the two match up. If he wants sex without your being a girlfriend, check and see if that feels good to you. Is it what you want? If not, this is not the person for you, no matter how much he may miss you, or vise versa. You also have to check and see if he does or can trust you. If he doesn't believe and trust you, then sooner or later he will punish you for what he thinks are your indiscrestions. So, get it clear up front. Get the situation with that guy who was helping you when you were drunk clear. See if he believes and accepts it. If he doesn't, there's really no basis for a healthy relationship to grow.

Here's your previous posts so others can catch up on your situation:

Will Time Only Tell?
I'm not sure why you are still trying with this guy. One of the above posts mentions him wanting you to be his girlfriend for the day for sex.
