When two people are "compatible" it means that they have enough in common to get along for the most part. I don't think this is a question of being compatible, when a relationship is verbally or physically abusive all ideas of whether or not you're compatible need to get thrown out the window... Because if you're not being treated the way you should be, nothing else matters. Nothing. Remember that your partner will be your daughter's primary role model for the person SHE eventually picks to be her life companion... With that in mind, you can only make the right decision. I wish you the best of luck.

Do you want him to treat your daughter the same way? If you think he won't then you are kidding yourself.

You are responsible for your child's safety, health and emptional well being right now. Are you doing that correctly right now?

You can love someone and know that you can not live with them.
