My purpose in life now is to raise my children, bring them to adulthood and help them to be all they can be in this world!

I feel much the same way you do. I think I have many different purposes in life and they change as I progress through life. The 2 constant purposes (for me) are to live with no regrets and never miss an opportunity to learn something new.

I believe that we have many purposes in life, both big and small, for short term and long term. Some we do almost without thinking, some come as part of the package and path that we choose in life. Others require a calling of sorts. All need for us to recognize that we

Hi girls

You know the really exciting thing for me is that job wise I have just landed myself in my "destiny role". I feel like I'm living out the purpose right now. I already have a gorgeous husband and two beatiful kids to share the ride.

But one thing that is strong in my mind is that the journey has to be fun (whatever that means to each person) as we only have one shot at life.

You are welcome.

When I was young, living with purpose never even entered
my mind.Something happened when I was in my early forties,
this overwhelming feeling came over me, and I had this
very strong feeling like there was something I was suppose
to be doing, but had no idea what is was.(sounds crazy but
I don't know any other way to describe it)This was about
the same time I came into my spirituality,so it must be
connected somehow.I have been searching for answers ever
since,I think it is to work with the elderly, but I am still
not sure. But I do believe this is something I actually
started training for at a young age without even realizing
it.I spent a lot of time with my grandmother, who was a real
pill and could drive most adults crazy.I learned how to have
incredible patience with the elderly by this early life
lesson.Today,it is easy for me to be with and work with
the elderly, and I find it very rewarding.

Yes, I think when we have a change in the intensity of our spiritual life, one of the questions that often surface is why we are here and what we are supposed to do with our lives. Just living and doing something isn't enough anymore, we'd like to put some more meaning into our days and activities.

Working with the elderly is a very noble and worthy life purpose, Musher, especially if you find it rewarding and fulfilling. There aren't a lot of people who have enough patience and kindness to work with the elderly, especially when the circumstances are difficult.

What do you do then? It rings a very faint bell - I think you might have mentionned this in passing in a previous post.

I admire and am very grateful to people who can work with the elderly and who find it rewarding. There are not enough of you around, IMHO.
