You are so fortunate to have been able to raise 2 wonderful children and, perhaps, they will be the conduit through which you end up doing "something big, noticeable, important & valuable." No doubt that when one of them discovers a cure for cancer or the other wins the Nobel Prize, they will acknowledge how they couldn't have done it without Mom behind them.

In the meantime, please know that providing the world with two loving, caring, and compassionate human beings is a mighty feat in itself...not all of us get the chance to say we did that!

Right now, I believe my purpose in life is to share what I have learned in certain areas with others and help to make them feel easier and more confident in dealing with the issue.

ludam, my sense is that as humans we can't see the full impact we make on the world. We tend to judge things with our human eyes, which means if it's big and splashy -- if you see it on Oprah or read about it on the front page of the New York Times periodically, then it's big. Anything other than that doesn't count for as much.

I've often felt that if we impact just one person powerfully -- deeply -- that it may have as big an impact on a cosmic level as Ophrah and the New York Times do on this plane. Sort of like cosmic Oprah. ; )

''When I was young, living with purpose never even entered
my mind.''

This happened to me as well and probably most of my friends when growing up.

''Where I am right now is that I'm neither perfect nor deficient, but just trying to find the best part of myself''

I think you found that a long time ago my friend, perhaps you are expanding it a bit more now and that is why you are here.
