  • But could I find material as beautiful, strong and durable as the one to be replaced?

If you choose upholstery fabrics, most likely yes, especially if they have been treated for stains (or you could treat it yourself). It can be a project for you to do - my father once reupholstered an armchair. So did I, but I didn't do a proper job of it because I didn't have the time and because that piece of furniture just wasn't worth it. Also, for me, it if can last for about 7 or 8 years at least, then it's great because perhaps in 7 or 8 years I'd like to reupholster!

  • It is our imperfections, our frailties which make us unique. It is our difficulties and hardships which teach us compassion, empathy and true caring. It is our damaged, vulnerable past and inner being which helps us to see the pain, heartache and need in others. It is what makes us REAL!!

Oh so very true, Aurora!

Welcome back to the board, Roxy!

Yes, it's tricky to maintain a balance but the process of trying achieve and maintaining a dynamic balance is an interesting one!

Good luck with your new business, Roxy :-)

Thanks, Poppy!! :-)

Unfortunately, I knew I was moving out of my apartment so I left the piece outside for someone else. I kept thinking how I would beautify it though. It was a desk chair with arms and a beautiful silk dark majestic blue oriental fabric that was horribly stained. I keep regretting that I didn't haul it to my storage bin where I stored the rest of my things. Oh well, what's done is done.

Dear Judy & Poppy,
I couldn't wait to get on here and tell
you what has happened.I am going to start
living with purpose again!!!!I am soooooo
happy and excited I can't sit still.

Remember what I told you about the sweet
little old lady I met in the supermarket??
How I thought our paths kept crossing for a
reason??I gave her my name and number in
case she knew someone that needed a helper.
Well, she called me today and said she wants
me to help her three days a week,a few hours
each day. This is exactly what I prayed for
and sent out to the universe.I can hardly
wait to start, this will be the balance I need.

Wooooohoooooo!

This is great! Wow!

Musher, thank you. You've reminded us that good things start happen when we are open to opportunities, and when we listen to our intuition. Both of which you practiced, Musher.

When do you start? I'm so happy and so proud of you, my friend.

Hugs,
