It's a morning flight, the kind that I detest most because it means that I have to get up early. Yuck. Moi not morning person, but morning is the best time to leave because we don't get stuck in traffic.

I'll be back online either Sunday night my time or Monday sometime. I have to get everyone settled in, get my kitchen kit from my friend's house, buy a few phone cards.

Have a good week-end!

Wuahahahaha...

Well, story #1 happened even before I've left. One of the things that I did today was to go shopping for lingerie. Hey, it's June, the sales are on and I need some - what more excuses does a girl need? So I go and look at the local brand that I usually buy here, and lo and behold they have some nice selections, including in this gorgeous turquoise, with a lime and green double straps. Exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, when I tried them on, it didn't fit. It looked horrible on me. Needless to say, I was bummed (hmm, is that a no-no word??).

Then I did something that I rarely do: I went to the saleslady and complained. I told her that it just didn't fit nicely, and I didn't understand. She asked me why they didn't fit, and she just looked at me and said, "Well, you need a bigger cup then!" Well, no. I'm a B-cup. A C-cup would just be waaaaaay too big.

But I tried it anyways. I'm always telling my SIL and my nephew : try it at least once before you say can't or won't or doesn't. So I have to practice what I preach.

Well, it fit.

And now some things are just beginning to fall into place. Like the fact I have problems buying shirts and t-shirts was not because I was too fat, but because of my boobs. Phew!

Ya gotta love it when you "grow" in a more attractive way.

Actually, what pretty good is finding that out after a 16 lbs weight lost ;-)

But talking about clothes, it was really good to realize the boob thing just after the L-sized t-shirt I had tried out at a different store didn't fit me at all across the chest. FG (FatGirl, who looks like a medieval minx)

Yeah, it was a very nice turquoise. I went in there and told myself to pick things I would normally never ever buy. Which meant no blacks, and no whites. Life is too short to live by black and white only!

Yes, I am learning that. A little late, but I am learning it step by step.
I love the color turquoise, it reminds me of the beach and the color of my son's eyes when he wears that color.

Goodness, what a array of marketing strategy and value buying.

Hi Poppy,I miss talking with you.Somehow
I lost track of you..lol
The soapbox about clothes was something
I could relate to very well.Years ago,I
use to love going shopping for clothes,
now,I rather stay home and scrub all the
floors on my knees than shop.I hate it.
It seems like everything there is geared
towards very young people. The clothes ARE
CUT SMALLER and almost never fit properly.
Yes,I am part of that reason,b/c I have put
on ten pounds over the past six years. But
I should only have to go to the next size
and it should fit, right? It usually doesn't.
I always have to try on all different sizes.
Eventually, after much frustration I will
find a skirt or a pair of pants that fit me.
Someday,in my far off future,this won't be
a problem.I will be sooo old I won't care
if I am wearing a potato sack ....lol
