Sorry to hear that your guys got kicked out! That's absolutely NOT good.

Why would the little girls be disappointed? Also, why would the clown steal away all of your business? You could specialize in a form of face painting? Something that is inspired by Venetian masks? Of just a small drawing on a side of the face? Hmm... this would be such a great idea for parties of all kinds, and you could be sitting down. A party a nephew had a few years ago had a "tattooist" on hand. That was quite cool, too. The little boys loved it!

Maybe you could combine this with also organizing the party give-outs. My SIL's sister is doing this with her friends, and she says that business is brisk! They don't only do kids parties, but also weddings and funerals or the 1000 day memories (it's a tradition for Muslims in my country to have an evening of prayer on the 1000th day, and give out a small book with prayers, Muslim rosaries, etc). Those who can't come are also sent these gifts.

Hi Poppy -- ah, thanks for your concern.

As far as the clown goes, this was just a story one of the people told me the other night.

Good luck with the visit and the 2nd inspection! I hope that everything goes well for you all, on all levels.

Yeah, face painting is a great way to spend summer and make some money at festivals and concerts. Even markets where they sell handicrafts.

((((((((((hugs))))))))))

I'm so sorry that the visit went so badly, Diana, and I hope that you are going to have a wonderful week-end with the boys to compensate for this.

You are not a failure, Diana. You are a lovely and talented young woman, a good friend to many, a great CL who is understanding and supportive, a really great mom to two son and a couple more kids.

Hugs,
