If there were such a thing as a time machine,I would go
back to the 70's,those were the best times of my life.
Would any of you use the machine??Where would you go??
Or would you prefer to stay in the present??

1980s....too drunk

1990s...turmoil with employment

Hi Judy,I am glad you like the thread.I was thinking
of how we talked about getting older, life purpose,
greener grass, our fears and passions.I wanted to try
to post something a little different, that might be
fun.I hope it will bring happy memories to everyone.
Sorry,I didn't think to start in the 40's.My mom is
ALWAYS telling me how great the 50's were,so I decided
to start from there. If you were a teen then, you must
know what she means, sounded like lots of good clean fun.
Did you ever wear a poodle skirt??

Oh yes, a poodle skirt, crinolines, bobby sox, saddle oxford shoes, angora sweaters.

''CRINOLINES....I HATED THOSE''

Do you remember wearing them, trying to sit at your desk in class and having the stupid things pop up in the air rofl rofl rofl.

I guess I am there with you Beth. I didn't respond before as all those decades include trauma for me. I wasn't sure what I wanted to say.. what choice I'd want to make. Sometimes you think if I could just relive that time with what I know now. But I know I'd make other mistakes/poor choices. Did you ever see the movie Peggy Sue Gets Married? She tried to change her choices and even though some things she did differently the outcome was the same. So even though Recovery has been (excruciatingly) painful and difficult for me, I guess I'd stay where I am making changes and trying to become whole. I just wish it weren't always so difficult. The ups and downs still get me.. the downs that is... (But keep in mind this is a down day, maybe I'll respond differently tomorrow. After all... tomorrow is another day!! thank you, scarlett!)
