Just curious if it is okay to ask a guy out. I haven't been single for quite sometime....since I was 17. I am 28 and have been divorced and healing for the past two years. Anyway...there is this guy that I am attracted to and I wanted to know if it's okay if I ask him out and more importantly...how do I do that? I know him from work, although we don't work together. I am in construction and he is one of our subcontractors. Is this still acceptable since we technically work together? I have known him about 8 months and we talk when we see each other at the construction site but that isn't alot since I am not always there. I am also trying to figure out if he is interested. I think he shows signs of being interested but i haven't been single in so long I am afraid I am reading the signs wrong. Any thoughts? i would appreciate it

Neneh~ There is nothing wrong with asking a guy out, it is perfectly fine. If a guy can ask us women out, why shouldn't be able to ask them out? As for how you go about asking him, simply ask if he would like to grab a bite to eat after work, or catch a movie this weekend. Whatever it is you enjoy doing, ask him.

On the issue of it being acceptable or non acceptable to date, I don't see anything wrong with it.

As for him being interested, if he didn't speak to you at all, or have a friendly like conversation, then no, he isn't. But, it doesn't seem that way, he seems genuinely interested.
