to date someone for a significant period and then when they decide to break up they just like disappear instead of actually breaking up?

Because A) One month isn't a significant period of time and B) unless there is an agreement not to date others, there really is no "break up" because there is no exclusive relationship to break off.
Is this the same guy you wrote about in this post?

Actually, girls do the same thing.
So many times I've had girls just disconnect their phones all of a sudden, or delete my number, with no forewarning, and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get through to them anymore.
"All's fair in love and war." Sorry.
This comment kind of scares me:
"So many times I've had girls just disconnect their phones all of a sudden, or delete my number, with no forewarning, and no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get through to them anymore."
No offense, but if a girl has made it plainly obvious that she no longer wants to talk to you (and to me not returning your calls and having her phone disconnected is pretty obvious), why not just let it go?
I had an ex who wouldn't go away. I threatened to call the cops but that made no difference. I was about to call the cops when something else occurred to me. I told him that I would set my father on him if he didn't leave me alone. He had met my father (who was none too impressed with him) and knew that my father was perfectly capable (both physically and mentally) of kicking the bejeesus out of him if he were a threat to me. He stopped calling but I told my father anyway to be on the safe side. To this day, my dad swears he never contacted him but it wouldn't surprise me if he paid this jerk*ss a surprise visit and scared the pants off of him. Hehe.
When I was a kid, we were having an addition put on the back of our house and my mom left the back door open into the kitchen where she left coffee and lemonade for the workmen. My bedroom was right off of the kitchen and I was playing on my bed when one of the workmen came into my bedroom and behaved in a super creepy manner. Nothing real physical happened aside from him rubbing my back, but he was asking all of these inappropriate questions. My dad came in and found me crying and I told him what happened. He went after that guy and beat him to within an inch of his life. The workman actually got a restraining order against my dad which was just fine with us because that also meant he could not come anywhere near our home.
