Getting out of the funk

Well, I don't know if something went off in my brain today or what, but I worked from 10am-3pm (I work part time at a gym, just there for the free membership!) and it was GREAT! I got to work with my 3 favorite people, no managers on duty, it was a steady stream of people so it was busy but not too crazy, and we all had so much fun! After, I went upstairs and worked out for a bit, then I used my gift cards for Barnes & Noble and Target and bought a few things and I was talking to one of my girlfriends and I told her that I'm going to try my hardest just to be happier and more positive about things. Sure, I may have no love life, business might not be the greatest right now, but I'm going on vacation in a month! I have that to look forward too, and I decided that it's just time for a new attitude :)

Now, I don't know how long it will last, but today ended up being a pretty good day! Anyone else feeling better from yesterday??

I agree. Sometimes it's nice that life just happens and you don't have to think about the state of your love life every minute of the day.

Where are you going on your cruise?

Western Caribbean. It leaves out of Miami and goes to Grand Caymen, Ocho Rios, Jamacia, Cozumel and Hispaniola.

Can't wait!!!

I love this comment. I broke up with the last guy I dated about a week and half before Christmas(we had only been dating for a few months) and that is all I thought about. I was so unhappy. I am so glad for the new year....

i feel the same way. i was cleaning up around the house and found some old journals of mine. i started reading them and realized that while some of my issues are still the same, there are so many ways in which i'm a more happy, confident person than i used to be. it kinda made me realize that i'm pretty close to where i want to be as a person. funny thing is, a lot of the entries were mooning over this or that guy -- and i don't remember who half of them were!

Awesome!

I don't know where you're from but here in Colorado, there are few things better than packing flip flops in March. :-) Enjoy your trip, I know I will!
