Just wanted to say that I agree with you 110%. I kind of admire those women that don't even want a relationship, but I'm old fashioned, I want to get married and have kids and all that stuff. Maybe we should start acting crazy and see what kind of people we attract ;)
I know you guys are just joking about acting crazy and venting, but on a serious note the men that attract and like the crazy women are a little off kilter themselves. We don't want those kinds of men in our life anyway. Obviously they don't have enough self esteem to get rid of the drama queens in their lives and they are addicted to the rush of the everyday soap opera. I don't know about you but I don't want those kinds of men in my life, too immature and obviously not ready to settle down in a mutually giving/healthy relationship.
Like I have said before...., online dating is a wasteland. What I learned there was that 90% of the people have some kind of problem..., not that I'm all perfect or anything like that..., but the women I dated were "off-kilter" to say the least.
I also understand your frustration with dating and I too would love to be married and have it all behind me..., but you know what? I've been hoping that for way too long now..., to the point that I have come to accept being single and not dating anymore.
I hear about this crazy woman syndrome on this board too but my experience and that of the few men I know is that we run away..., run away fast..., from anything out of the ordinary. I think what was said is right "the men who choose these types of women have something wrong with them so you don't want them anyway".
I suspect that what we are witnessing is that the power of internet dating allows all types of dysfunctional relationships to happen...., and so we see short lived, unstable ones....,
No one seems to believe me when I say there are large numbers of single males who would make great mates who simply refuse to date anymore. I keep being told this is just me and a few friends..., but the more men I talk to..., the more I realize how many of them have dropped from the scene..., it's not just in my mind.
As I said in what I posted on that thread, I think that the guys who go for women like that aren't all that together themselves, but it doesn't make it any less frustrating, I know!
I worked for this totally nutsy woman in her house and she lived with this handsome California guy (he was five years younger) who put up with her screaming, no love, fowl mouth and periodically she would kick him out of the house. He went down to the harbor to live on his boat until her tizzy fit was over with. I finally classified him as nuts for staying with her.
But, you know, I highly suspected that she was a lesbian who could not get out of the closet. Closet!! She should have been institutionalized. I have seen this before with people who are gay. They treat everybody like dirt for years before they decide (if they ever do) to come out to play.
That's just one perspective. I'm sure there are many others. Probably too much sugar has something to do with their histeronics.
And, yes...it would be sheer heaven to find a man you could trust and had respect for you and no more running down the alley away from the chestnut tree. By the way, if you haven't seen a chestnut, it looks like a male scrotum with very, very sharp spikes growing out of it.
That's sort of the first thought that came to my mind, too. It's not so much the psychotic that a guy likes as it is the intrigue of something. It's silly but this always reminds me of how my friends and I would watch The Bachelor and it would never fail he would always keep the "whacko" girl around. She was always too something. Too emotional, too intense, too stuck up, too distant, etc. and nonetheless, the guy was intrigued. Well, we see how those things turn out. Not that you can compare life to a "reality" show but I really do think it's the intrigue of the woman that keeps these guys intrested. And I agree with the others, we really don't want these guys, either. The mature, well-adjusted men aren't into instant intrigue (I have faith!).

Oh, boy...do I know what you mean.

Best, Lou
LOL,LOL, LOL...I will have 0 faith in the male race if you don't get a proposal of marriage for your sense of humor.
Good idea. Maybe I'll try being crazy for once.

I think that although most people say they don't like or want drama, they really do want some to make their life more interesting.
