Anybody have plans for the Halloween weekend/festivities? Chicago has a bunch of stuff going on and lots of parties all over the place. The school is having a party at a bar here and a classmate of mine is having a house party. Should be a good weekend. I dont intend to drink too much though because I have a lot of work to get done on Sunday. But it will be nice to have a few nights off to cut loose and have fun. I'm going as a puck bunny! Woo hoo!

Costumes, parties, or just looking forward to trick-or-treaters??
Or is Halloween just totally lame when you reach adulthood? (Depends on my mood with this one...I'm kind of excited about this year, other times the only thing I like are the decorations).

I have been invited to several costume parties, but I am so not a Halloween person. If I go, I'll have to come up with some lame costume last minute.

I do look forward to the trick-or-treaters on Tuesday, though. It's my first Halloween in my new townhouse, and there are tons of kids in the complex, so I expect quite a few. I'm just hoping it doesn't snow on them, though. It's dumping snow right now, and almost ALWAYS snows here on Halloween. Made Halloween as a kid really frustrating - you'd have a great costume, but you'd have to ruin it by wearing a parka and hat over it. :) Maybe that's why I'm not a fan of the holiday to this day.

I like Halloween. I couldn't dress up at work this year, but I had a party Saturday night. We met at my house and some of us went out to bars afterwards. We saw a group dressed as the Publishers' Clearinghouse Prize Patrol--they kept handing a big fake check, balloons and flowers to people and taking photos of the "winners!" It was funny :) I was a stewardess; I've been Miss America for so long that I needed a change but didn't want to spend a lot of money. Thank goodness for Goodwill stores!
