that my best friend's endometriosis has spread to her intestines. She is 29 years old and has an 11 year old, but wants so bad to have more children with her current fiance( he has a 10 year old son from a previous). My sister had a hysto because of she also had endo, and I had a hysto because my ovaries were covered with cysts and i had the beginnings of endo. My sister and i were in our mid-30's which is a huge difference in dealing with the endo problems.
My girlfriend however is insistant that she still wants kids. I do know that many woman have been able to overcome endo to have children...but i was under the impression that if endo is squeezing the intestines and spreading that the only solution is a hysterectomy.
Who here has experienced endo that has squeezed your insides so bad that you had severe pain, cramping, huge clots passing during the cycle, and bleeding tween periods and has not had a hysto(YET)? My gf had even missed quite a few days of work because of her period/endo reactive cramps n pain.
She has said she has read up about endo and has read stories that some women have been able to have children even with dealing with endo.
I am not so sure the stats are comfortably high of a ratio for that to happen.
I thought that once it reaches the intestines and other organs that it is a death sentence. Correct me if i am wrong. Please:(

Any support and extra knowledge will be wonderful as i will be sure to print out all responses to give to my gf. THANKS.

Crying rivers today.

A very close friend of mine has endometriosis - a terrible case of it. Her first doctor told her she would have to have a hysterectomy. Her current doctor said it could be treated with lasers - which it was, successfully. She is currently working with a specialist who deals with infertility and endometriosis and does see success with cases like this. So, all hope is not lost.
