Singles: How do you occupy ur weeknight?

Just wondering what the rest of the singles do out there after work on a weeknight. Are you actively dating on weeknights? Stay at home? Study? Gym? All the above?
I find I don't have a lot of time to do much after work especially after hitting the gym but there's still an extra couple of hours or so to spare...

I sometimes also wonder what other people do in their free time. I don't have much else to add. Mostly browsing the internet/checking email, reading books, watching TV (especially with Netflix rentals, it's really convenient to just search for movies on the website and have them mailed. However, it made me a little less sociable I think and more caved in :-)). On the weekends, meeting with friends over coffee/dinner, going for walks, and go hiking if the weather is good. Just random things...
I want to develop a hobby that's more interesting.

My weeknights I usually go home, I eat dinner, I watch tv for a little while and then I go to bed, every couple weeks I have my nails done and I usually make appointments on weeknights (errands). Occasionally I will have a date and a few hockey games thrown in there in the winter.
Other than that I don't do much during the week but spend time at home.

Deirdre
I am dating someone right now, but he's in the Coast Guard and has been away for much of the time I've been dating him (but he'll be home for a month next week!)...anyway, so I have a lot of "single time" when he's gone.
Date? hahahahahhahaha
My evenings:
Change clothes, school at least one horse. Feed. Clean stalls. Clean tack. Make dinner. Clean up house. Maybe a load of laundry. Bathe mother, get her into pj's and in to bed. Walk dog.
Recently added to the list - I became a Body Shop at Home consultant, so I now have one or two parties a week and all the work that entails.
I want 8 hours of sleep. Not a date. LOL
I usually hit the gym, head home, make dinner, play with Ivie (my dog) or walk her, read mail, clean up a little, watch a little TV, and read.
Exciting, thrill-a-minute stuff, I tell ya.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
I've been single for a year now and I swear I have less free time now than when I was in a relationship!
I have a full time job and a part time job...picked up the part time job for fun and for the discount :). That usually occupies one or two nights during the week and I'll pull one shift over the weekend. I take at least one fitness class a week which shoots a whole evening....by the time I get home from work, get changed, take the class, come home, shower, make dinner it's time for bed! I try to get together with friends one or two nights a week. I also make sure I have one or two whole nights to myself to get laundry done, watch my favorite shows and do some reading.
You just have to find things you enjoy doing and make those priority. I've found it's easy to get into a rut...especially when you're used to coming home, heating up a Lean Cuisine and watching tv all night. Try going to a bookstore for a couple hours one night and finding a new author that you like by reading the first chapter of a bunch of books...then go home and find the books used online or check your library. Or look up a new recipe to try...after work hit the grocery store for the ingrediants you don't have and then whip it up...freeze the leftovers for another night.
Also check with your township/city for the local recreation commission - they'll often have all sorts of classes you can take from artsy stuff to fitness. A local community college may offer community development courses that allow you to expand your work skills...making you more attractive to future employers.
Hope these ideas get ya started...
Thanks girl! Ya I've thought about a second job and all that you've mentioned.. its definately not as easy in the winter months. The more you stay home the less chances you have of meeting new people and finding dates!
Sounds like you have a well rounded schedule! Keep it up!
