I buy the high fiber (flax, oat bran, whole wheat pitas) low carb Joseph's pitas, spray a baking sheet with some olive oil cooking spray, cut them in wedges, lay them flat out so they aren't touching, spray them lightly with the olive oil spray just so they are a little moist nothing too much, and then season, usually with garlic powder and pepper, or sometimes parmesan cheese and pepper I don't put on any salt. Then I cook them in the oven 350 degrees for 10 mins, you have to watch them so they don't burn, then as the oven gets hotter, I usually lower it to 325, and cook them for 8 mins subsequent batches . Thats it.

The pitas I buy, (Josephs brand) have like 6 grams of fiber and are really low in fat so they are much better for you than buying already made pita chips and they are whole grain so I know I can eat them because I am on a specific diet no processed foods and only whole wheat etc. so if I make it I know I'm getting what I can eat. So I will usually make a batch on the weekend when I know I might want something crunchy. It's fabulous!

Smile,

Deirdre
