So has anybody attended or hosted a Passion Party? If you dont know what it is, its basically a house party that is along the same vein as Partylite, Pampered Chef and Home Interior except its all about sex toys, lingerie and other sex stuff.
My shower/bachelorette party is September 8th and I think my girlfriends are having one of these as part of the bach party. There isnt much to do around here, other than go bar-hopping or out to eat. I wont have many of my girlfriends there though as most live in Chicago so it'll be me, my maids, a few other girls and probably my aunts and mom. My grandmas will probably be on their way home after the shower, lol! I figure we can all get loose with some booze and have fun.
Has anybody done one of these? How was it? Did you enjoy it or were you totally weirded out?

I was completely weirded out.
I've been to two of them over the past two years (different people's houses, but with the same saleswoman/host).
I heard about them at a friends dinner party...when she had a Pure Romance Party a few months later, I decided to give it a shot. It kinda reminded me of the slumber parties we had in high school, only with a lot more sex and toys and information (different kinds of lubricants anyone?)
I had a blast at the first one I went to (and thus why I went to the second). You just have to have the mindset of "I'm going to be kinda uncomfortable, but we're all going to have a good laugh". Oh, and alcohol helps too :-D
Also, our host always sets up her purchase area in another room in the house, so you can go in there one at a time to buy your products in secret.
I hope this helps!
I've been to one. They are a lot of fun, especially if you only have your friends around, or just one friend and a bunch of other women you'll probably never see again - lets down the inhibitions.
I had a friend who did that as a sideline business for awhile, so I've been to a couple. They are fun if it's a crowd of friends, but my boss came to one - and that was weird.
Go in with a light-hearted view of it, and it will be fun. There are some yummy lotions and things as well as "toys," so it is not necessarily as embarrassing as you might think. :) Good idea for a bachelorette party, I think.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
