Sorry, I was just so excited that I had to share!!! Unbeknownst to me, he's been living in Nashville for about two years now but I just found out about six months ago. I'm a HUGE fan. It's difficult to tell how big it is, but it's not enormous, which, I think is kind of endearing. I was thinking about taking my nieces there to trick or treat this fall, ha-ha, but there's a huge iron gate. Oh well, it was still really neat seeing it in the flesh(yes, I'm a total dork).

He used to live in the city next to mine (he lived in Pleasant Ridge, MI, a suburb of Detroit). It's such a small city but I never knew which house was his. Glad you had better luck :)

I really dig Jack White. Super talented, genuine, original and not a publicity whore. I have always wondered if there would EVER be a band in my time that could come close to Led Zeppelin's legendary music. I think The White Stripes have a good start.

He heads up the band, The White Stripes, which was founded somewhere around 1998 in Detroit Michigan where he was born and raised(I believe he's 32). He sings & plays the guitar (he's been listed as number 17 on The Rolling Stones best guitarists ever) and Meg White plays drums. About two years ago he formed another band, The Raconteurs. Before that, he produced Loretta Lynn's album, Van Lear Rose which, I think garnered her a Grammy. He's rumored to have been in a movie at the age of eleven. I think it's called The Rosary Diary's, and he was said to have played the part of a choir boy. He also had a part in the movie, Cold Mountain, with Renee Zelwegger, Nicole Kidman and Jude Law. He actually dated Renee for the period of a year or so but married English model Karen Elson, about 2 years ago. They have one daughter, Scarlett, and his wife is rumored to be carrying their second child. The White Stripes just released their 6th album, Icky Thump, in June. It was recorded in Nashville.

That's why I love his music, it covers so many genres. Hell, it's a genre of it's own! It's like nothing else, in my humble opinion. You should check it out, you may dig it!
