My date tonight
9
Sat, 08-18-2007 - 10:53pm

I had a good time, great dinner. he liked me, doesn't care about my age or my hearing. he drove 109 miles to see me and is doing that now to get home!!!!!!!!!!! Is he my soul mate?????? Not that I know of. When he kissed me I thought of my X man friend and how I melt into him. No melting here. I still enjoyed him. I always feel guilty seeing a guy again if I don't melt and that isn't realistic. It is good to get to know people and even make some friends. He gets a pension from the detective thing, no stocks, has some real estate. I am better of with someone more stable financially at my age. The last man had nothing but I loved being with him. This one was stil the best date I have had all year. a nice man who didn't do or say weird things. He doesn't go in my book. I don't know if that guy is out there, but I will know him when he appears. Even if I am 85 when I meet him.

meanwhile, the house is clean, i finished making my pillows for my love seats, I even cleaned the car and the wheels. New flowers on the counter. I also changed the litter in the litter box. So, dates that come to your house are a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! Leila

Way kewl Leila. 109 miles? wow... I guess he is motivated. I wish you continued good fortune!

Melt huh? I never had that feeling. I guess it's a woman thing. I have yet to think/feel that the woman I have met is my soul mate or The One. Maybe I'm more cynical, less romantic or just have not met her yet.

Best wishes,
Mark

Hi Mark,

We do have many soul mates, some are not just romantic, people here for a purpose in our lives. There are probably many " the ones" It is not easy to meet someone that fits right into what I need. I hope I am flexible. I'd better be having fewer opportunities being older. I won't just settle.

I did have a good time last night. I still think 12 years is a lot of difference. I will go out with him again if he wants to.
Detective stories are fun to listen to and there is something cute about him.

Hmmmmmm. the melt thing," I wonder if it is a girl thing???????? " you might know the feeling with a different word??

maybe it is not even a romantic feel, a trust and comonality, togetherness where you can hold someone and feel like you're one, a sense of peace and joy and ya melt. (:- ) There could even be a friendship melt. Leila

Leila,
I was wondering about your date and it crossed my mind if it would be one of those stories you wrote before, but it's not, and I think that's great.

The melt thing.... I've had that a lot. Sometimes it felt like a "zing" in my stomach. Of course it goes away with time, but it's nice in the beginning when that happens.

I do think 12 years is a big difference. He also is 109 miles away. I want someone a little older. I did have a very good time. Maybe a little melting for me in the future (:- ) Leila
