I'm happy it's Friday because we get off an hour early today, it's a 3-day weekend and my man took the day off work so after I get off, I'll go exercise and then we'll go out - on a FRIDAY NIGHT!!!! :)

Plus, I'm thisclose to finding a new job so any time I can get out of here is a happy day! :)

I'm happy it's Friday because I'm going to see Stevie Wonder tonight, woohoo!!!!!

I'm so excited I can barely stand it. I've never seen him and I was able to get 12th row seats--spent WAY too much for them but I figure this is a once in a lifetime thing.

And then after that I have a full weekend of music at our big annual music and arts festival here in Seattle--3 straight days of music. I'm especially psyched to see the Shins and Crowded House.

Well... not meaning I have any leads... meaning I'm about to start looking! I've contacted old employers to let them know they might be receiving reference calls over the next month or two, updated my resume and now I just have to start searching and working on individual cover letters.

I did email that company you mentioned and a lady replied saying to send her my resume so I'm sure I will - after I work up a good cover letter to send. But I don't expect anything to come of it. But who knows! :)

I've been rather down lately when I think about the fact that I work in a high rise office, in a room with 3 other people and in this little cubical - doing work I care NOTHING about (albeit, I take pride in the quality of my work - I don't care about the substance it contains). And I was "crying" (figuratively) to my BF about how I am just watching the years waste away out the 36th floor window - when I walk out into the hall to get a glimpse of sunshine during the day... dramatic, I know!

I HAVE to figure out something else that doesn't involved sitting on my butt all day and pushing papers! However long it takes - I'm going to find it! :)

Sorry to hijack this post!

Okay, I'm a dork but everytime I hear or see the name "Stevie Wonder" I hear..."I just called....to say....I love you...."

Too funny! He did that song the other night, actually! I usually think of Ma Cherie Amour when I think of him (which is not my favorite Stevie song by any means but it's one of "my" songs due to the name, along with Sherry Baby, Sherry Darling and Oh Sherry (by Journey I think?)).

Anyway it was an awesome show--here's the set list:

Love’s in Need of Love Today
Too High
Visions
Living for the City
Master Blaster (Jammin’)
Higher Ground
Golden Lady
Ribbon in the Sky
Overjoyed
(Percussive jam)
Don’t You Worry About a Thing
Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours
Memphis (Chuck Berry)
My Cherie Amour
Sir Duke
I Wish
Isn’t She Lovely
You Are the Sunshine of My Life
Superstition
I Just Called to Say I Love You
Another Star

He had his daughter as one of his backup singers (the baby from Isn't She Lovely)--it was very cool.

And I had a great time with my date who is 13 years younger than me but thankfully knows all the words to these songs just like I do so I didn't feel old ;-).
