Do you think that a lot of men make this assumption?

Actually, and this is just my opinion, I don't think men want to take "hot" women to bed because they think they will be great. I think mostly either the woman portrays herself to be a somewhat easy catch, or they like the self validation and kudos from their friends that comes along with hooking a "hot" chick. It's never made a difference in bed to me how they look as far as their "talent" in the area. :)

Not "better", but more satisfying. Deeply satisfying. It is impossible to describe the satisfaction that comes from even the thought of having sex with a "hot" (apologies to cml, tgc..) sexy chick. Hence our obsession with porn.

I cannot explain it. I can explain many things, but this one beats me. Just the sight of a semi naked blonde, 5'9" ish - 5'11"ish, well toned thigh and calf muscles, just enough butt but not excess, just enough breasts but not excess, smooth creamy texture free skin especially on her legs, and I feel my heart pounding against my chest, energy and confidence sucked away in an instant. My only thoughts are the crudest. I would give up a limb to be able to mate with her. Ok I am being a little dramatic, but you get the point. As I said I cannot explain it. Maybe some day I will.

OK now you got me thinking. Why the tall blond and not the McDonald's cashier (with due apologies to them). With eyes closed the raw feeling is not that different. Then why the preference ?

To be fair though, depending on need and 'stiffness', men can quickly compromise. A McDonald's cashier is far far better than taking matters into our own hands.

I absolutely agree with that as well.

In my experience, truly good looking and hot women I don't go for because they typically tend to be arrogant, obnxious and have a string of women chasing them so I usually keep on walking. I've been more attracted to average looking guys with strong personalities. AND they have been great in bed.

I don't know if it's the association of better sex or of a status and way to feed their ego (look at me, I got a hot chick).

I can't say my experience would prove this case. I actually found the opposite, not that he was ugly at all. He was average, the guy next door type and he was much better in bed than the so called 'hot guys'. In fact the 'hot guys' only wanted an a one night stand, while the average guys wanted to get to know me and have a relationship!

Because it's not all about raw feelings. Sheesh.

Anyway, I really don't and will never understand the fixation with fake-looking blondes (or any other hair color, of course). If attraction is often based on the biological push to procreate, why on EARTH would you want to procreate with someone who, in all likelihood (think Pam Anderson again) is going to be absolutely hideous when you take away all of the make-up (have you SEEN her with no make-up on???), fake hair color, various fake body parts (which obviously you can't do, but hypothetically...they're definitely NOT in her genes), fake everything. It's not the blonde that bothers me, it's not the big breasts (if they're natural), it's not the sex appeal, it's the fakeness (couldn't think of a better word) and superficiality of it all. That's not real beauty, now, is it?? I pride myself on being real in EVERY sense of the word (and have gotten that comment from guy), so it's frustrating to see men so easily and completely attracted to things that ANYONE could do for/to themselves if they just had the money and the desire.

As for better-looking people being better in bed, for me what turns good sex into great sex is a strong attraction (mostly physical, obviously) to the other person.

I don't have time to read the replies and mine is alittle off the main subject but speaking from a personal persepective (not that I'm "hot" by any means) but I know when I am feeling fit and not as obsessive about my body - I enjoy sex more and get into it more. Not thinking about the parts I don't want him to notice or look at, etc. But maybe WANT him to notice and look at me.

When I do have a part of my body I'm focusing on I am not as into it - it isn't as good. So maybe it's not a matter of a chick being "hot" as in magazine standards so much as she feels hot and exudes hotness (in whatever form - to each their own - "hot" is subjective in my opinion).

Why Pam Anderson doesn't qualify :

1. Not tall enough .. meaning her legs don't stand out.

2. Breasts are positively grotesque (!) - an eyesore if I may say.

3. Skin is anything but texture free, despite layers and layers of makeup

She was ok in the early/mid 90s but today she is long past her prime, and she should accept that. Many ex supermodels have a hard time accepting it.

I prefer the everyday leggy blonds we run into in grocery stores, restaurants or other public places. The kind who are not trying to impress or those we are not expected to swoon over, who are just being themselves. I don't know why but I don't have any fascination for celebs, media stars and other public figures. In fact I have quite the opposite reaction. A huge example is Charlize Theron . This woman grates on me like fingernails on chalkboard. I have made it a point never to watch any movie she is in, or any talk show episode where she is a guest. Very strange. But that's how it is.

And then you are all excited and you get them in the rack and they just lay there like they are dead. Would your dreams be shattered or would you still be as satisfied shtupping her?

Smile,

Deirdre
