Do you ever have those times when you're so stressed...so pressed for time with no motivation to make the most of it...that you just want to revert back to those days when you just wailed and mommy came to comfort you?

In times of stress I just wish I had someone to be there and listen to me (really listen to me) more than anything else.

Never had a relationship like that with my mother. But my father, however, yes!

I don't wish for my mom so much, although I loved her a lot. I didn't have that kind of mother, she wasn't that nurturing.

Same. My mom was unaffectionate and very hands-off. It was my father that was into big hugs and kisses. I always wonder what it would have been like to have a mom like that.

My mom never really was the hands-on, huggy-kissy type, and I never had a great relationship with her, either.

My mom (neither of my parents really) wasn't the type for physical affection either, but she was always still supportive and we're (despite the lack of physical affection) very close. Beyond that, though, like you said, it's about missing being able to have someone just "fix" something for you, for me anyway.

I think my mom misses it too sometimes.
