I liked this article a lot - about people against the idea that being single is somehow a flawed state.

You know, I didn’t find that article so inspirational for singlehood. In fact is made me think of quite a few reasons not to be single. Let’s face it, being alone does have some perks, like privacy, independence, varied sexual experiences, freedom from the responsibility of another human being, pouring love into your pets, and those kinds of things. But the drawbacks of being single far outweigh the benefits. Things like loneliness, depression, anxiety and stress have all been clinically proven to be higher in single men and women. Also, as you get older you will become even more alone as your friends shack up and/or move away.
It’s not that our lives are unfulfilling, it’s that there is this space we can’t seem to fill…, and that space is love. I think women are just as unhappy about being single than men are.
HERE HERE!!
I have just been through the worst most lonely year of my life, adios 2007! For New Year's last year I got engaged, by Valentine's Day I was dumped.
