I'd call and say that you're checking on the status of your application.
I'm job hunting right now as well, and I've noticed that it's pretty much status quo for companies to post and repost a position for a period of weeks or months. Some organizations also have a lot of red tape in their hiring process, so they have to post for a certain time frame, etc. and it takes forever to fill a position.
I'm going through a similar situation now. I interviewed for the position before Christmas and he said he'd get back to me after the holidays. Not a word, so I have followed up by phone and e-mail. Still hoping it's not a lost cause because the job is perfect for me.
I agree with the others that you should follow up. It shows that you are truly interested in the job, and you never know the real reason why they haven't called. They could just be too busy, had put the position on the back burner while trying to meet a deadline, etc. It's worth a shot -- then you know you've done everything you can do.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
Well I just reapplied...asked him to review my vita again...we'll see I guess!
