how much PDA is too much?

just wondering what other people's opinions are on this:

in general, i am not very fond of PDA's. as far as i'm concerned, hand-holding, maybe a quick hug or a peck on the cheek are all that i'm comfortable with.

i've started dating my boyfriend recently and he is wayyy more affectionate in public than i am used to (he doesn't mind making out in public)...

am i being too uptight? how much PDA is too much?

Well, i guess with me it would depend on HOW public it was. If it was like in the middle of a crowded mall or street, then holding hands, simple hug, simple kiss is fine..BUT if the 'public' is a few people off in the distance, it wouldnt bother me to make out at all...

I have met people who are very handsy in public and that can become uncomfortable..I have also met people who were totally against any physical contact.

I agree w/everyone else. It really depends on the person and every one is different. Hand holding, kissing, things like that, to me, are fine when done in public. But if you are around a bunch of ppl and start making out like wild bandits and someone yells, "get a room!" then I'd be a bit embarrassed lol.

Whatever I guess you are comfortable with.

Hand-holding, arm-in-arm and a quick kiss or hug is as far as Mr. Pooh & I take it.

My ex and I constantly made out in public. It was probably horribly gross for anyone who turned to look at us. We even made my parents sick sometimes. We were like two teenagers, despite our respective ages of 23 and 26.

They say a couple who is really into PDAs is usually doing it for a reason - that they are trying to cover up underlying problems in a relationship. I read this in cosmo. I hated to believe it, but look at where my EX and I are now ... we're not exactly together, are we?

The next guy I'm with won't be making out with me in public, that's forsure.

It's irrelevant what others think.

Too much is when it makes other people uncomfortable or irritated.

I'm with Johanna Marie on this one. When you are irritating others, whether you know them or not its too much. I personally am not a fan of pda's at all not even minor ones like hand holding. If I'm with someone I don't feel I need to put on a show for others.

I am with your BF on this. (-: It is to much when you can be arrested for it. (-: I like to show affection.
