Okay singles - what was your WORST valentine's day ever? I have had a million bad ones, and I'm sure I'll have one this year too! hahaha...sad.

Any good stories to share?

I think the worst V Day I had was when I was with the abusive ex. He didn't get me anything for V day and I mean NOTHING. I got him something, but in return, he didn't give me anything. He "claimed" he was too broke to get me anything. I'm not high maintenance by any stretch of the means. He didn't even go to Wal-Mart to get me a cheap bouquet of flowers, how nice! Of course, that V Day is one I will never forget,....and how I'm so thankful and blessed I'm no longer with him and never have to put up w/that ever again. So really, V Day doesn't sadden me. If anything, it makes me thankful and it reminds me that I'm no longer w/that abusive monster and that I no longer have to deal w/his abuse.

I honestly don't pay much attention to Valentine's Day, whether I'm in a relationship or not.

I'm kind of with shyone on this one I don't put that much emphasis on Valentines day whether I'm in a relationship or not. I have been married and I didn't really go all out on it. I would usually just get my husband a card and a few little things but nothing extravagent it's really not that big of a deal.

I feel SO bad for men at Valentine's Day.

No matter what they do, they won't get it right, their GF's/wives will kvetch about how a card and flowers wasn't good enough, the diamonds weren't big enough, the dinner out wasn't romantic enough....Feb 15th the relationship boards here will be bursting with these kinds of posts.

It's a HALLMARK holiday, people. You've been duped by Madison Avenue.

If you have love in your life, you should treasure it 365 days a year. (Well, 366 this particular year LOL).

See - I like what you have in your siggie.

If everyone would maybe donate what they would spend on flowers and candy to some sort of research instead...well...that would be so cool.

When Gary told me he had found Jesus, I thought, Yahoo! We're rich! But it turned out to be something different.

February 14th changed for me 2 years ago when my baby cousin was born with a heart defect.

My worst valentines day was last year and is going to be this year because my Husband is in Iraq. It's a 15 month deployment so we've missed a lot together. It's going to be a pretty lonely day.
